Well, it is Turkey Day!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!! and I don't have to work!!!!!!!Whoooohooo!! I do have to cook a few things :-( booooo!!!!!!I am baking 4 pumkin pies and a whipped sweet potato dish with marshmellows on top and a brocoli, cheese and rice side dish. First Turkey Day that I have actually got to do some cooking or baking for. Usually I just provide ice and pop. I did this too. :-)
Yesterday was Matthew's 40th birthday. He didn't get his present yet. I am making him wait till we go up moms. Mom, Vickie and me went in on his gift. I won't tell what it is yet just in case he gets on line and reads this. HAHAHAHA...
Because mom isn't up to doing a lot right now. We (the family) are doing the cooking and taking it up her house. Then we will do the clean up. All the chemo mom had has really wipped her out.
Tuesday and Wednesday we will be in Morgantown again and hopefully mom meets requirements to be part of a clinical study and will try a new form of chemo pills and we pray they do their job. We will have to go to Morgantown every 3 weeks so they can keep her monitored and make sure they have doses of meds right and change them if they aren't. The pills aren't out on the market yet that is why we have to keep her closely watched and monitored.
I am taking my camera up to moms to get pictures of the family and will post them tonight some time. Tonight is also the night Bluefield City Park opens the holiday of lights. The whole park is decorated and lite up. Its pretty cool.. and to help local food pantrys the only charge a non perishable food item to get in.
Ohhh well, guess I better get some cleaning done and get some pies a baking.
To everyone traveling this weekend, I pray for your safety and I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. I love you all very much.

Happy Birthday to Matthew -- hope he enjoys his gift (whatever it is, now I'm so curious!) I hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving, wish we could have come up. Isabella's first Thanksgiving was up there. But we all thought it might be a little much on your mom if we came up to stay -- just because she is always being a good hostess and probably needed to just take most of the day to rest rather than have to worry about us. Obviously, we're still praying for her and I hope these new pills work!!!!
We got Matthew a radio control Gerneral Lee car. He loves the Dukes of Hazard. I wish moms health or strentgh was up so we could have had more of the family up for Thanksgiving. She gets winded sometimes just talking on the telephone. But this will pass and she will beat this cancer just like she did the last time. Hopefully we will all be together some time around the Christmas holidays.
I now have pictures of Matthew opening his car on my blog. :)
And Christmas would be a really good time to have everybody in. And I believe that Norma has the strength and the will and the trust in the Lord to overcome this illness. It will just be in Gods time. It is in his hands after all.
