My cousin Melva sat with my mother at the hospital yesterday (Saturday). I haven't been able to see mom since Thursday. I picked a great time to get sick. I have had a bad cold or flu. I have missed a couple of days of work too. Anyway, I called and talked to Melva last night and mom doesn't have conjested heart failure and the cancer isn't in her bones. She does have a bacteria that is common in hot tubs. How she got it we don't know. Thats all I know so far.

I did some research on the internet and it is common for cancer patients receiving chemo to get this bacterial infection and it is considered a nosocomial infection(one that you get at the hospital) It is usually in water and soil, but at the hospital it is usually on medical equipment and it can cause several different infections.
